The reason being that if there is a company or public sector department that require a letter or medical report for any of our patients they will often request this and cover the cost.

Therefore any requests for letters or medical reports are a chargeable service, whilst we understand that we have patients who may not be able to afford this service, we do not encourage patients to use this service regardless of affordability. Please contact Aliye Aydin, Practice Manager on the usual number or via email at regards to your request for a letter, unfortunately this is a private service and not covered under the NHS. However, I would encourage you to speak to the Practice Manager who can rectify this for you with the support of our Lead GP, Dr Ibrahim Mukhtar. Unfortunately, this does mean that on occasion a patient’s medical condition can be incorrectly labelled as a past condition in their record, this is a system issue that we currently do not have any control of. At Silverlock Medical Centre we use a computer system called EMIS web and all conditions have a pre-programmed time of remaining active on a patients record unless that has been overridden by a clinician. I understand you are concerned about your medical condition being noted on the system as inactive. Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience at Silverlock Medical Centre.įirstly, we are sorry that you have had a negative experience with us and would like to reassure you that we are consistently working to improve the services that we offer to our patients.

Report review titled The most horrendous practice I have ever experienced as unsuitable They say, they have signed the letter and won’t give it back … this is mind blowing, insulting ans outrageous.
SILVERLOCK GP FOR FREE
Have I mentioned my wages have been decreased due to a tax rise for the NHS ?! I said I won’t pay, please give me my letter and my neuropsychiatrist will sign it for free … nope … got a call today, we will book you an appointment to come see the doctor but you have to pay the £30 … I said, no thank you. Now I need a signature from the GP and they say I have to pay …£30. They have years of letters and reports about my health and I cannot for the life of me get them to see me. Have never been given an appointment from the practice. Have spent weeks in bed unable to cook, bathe or go to work. Am on a waiting list for an in patient 3 week course of specialist treatments at st Thomas. I have physiotherapy, see a neuro consultant at st Thomas, acupuncture, Ayurveda and CBT. So apparently my fibromyalgia and extreme fatigue (a completely shattered nervous system due to severe trauma) is no longer “active” at my Gp practice because I haven’t had an appointment in ages … their words not mine. The most horrendous practice I have ever experiencedīy Anonymous - Posted on 23 September 2022 Report review titled Dismayed and disappointed as unsuitable This surgery has gone downhill fast since they became part of the American private healthcare company. There was no explanation for them not telling me about the face to face appointment that they had booked although from the receptionists reaction it was obvious that they had forgotten to let me know. I phoned immediately as I had not been told about this face to face appointment and anyway as I’d told them each time I’d spoken to them I can’t walk with the pain so wouldn’t have been able to attend anyway. No call and then at 5pm I noticed a message had been left to say that as I had a face to face call booked for today then they would cancel the telephone consultation. This morning ,Tuesday, I phoned at 8.15 to be told that the best thing was for the receptionist to book me again for a call today and that I could expect a call this afternoon. On Monday at 7.45 am I made on online request via Dr1Q for a doctor to ring me as I was suffering severe back pain( I already suffer with chronic arthritis), by 4 pm I hadn’t had a call so I phoned to be told I was on the list for a call, it didn’t happen.
